VFW Memorial Day Service To Honor Bosmon Clifton

The Montfort VFW honored Bosmon Clifton for his service in the War of 1812.  The service was held at 10:00 AM on Memorial Day, May 27th, 2019 at Bosmon’s grave site near the Rock Church in the Rock Church Cemetery.  Buried next to Bosmon is his wife Sarah (Zumwalt) Clifton and their young daughter, Mary.  It was the death of Mary that caused Bosmon and Sarah to donate 1 ½ acres for a cemetery and a site to build a church.
